Regional IT Operations Support Executive (Mandarin Speaking, Shift-Based)

About the role

As a Regional IT Operations Support Executive, you are the person on the ground keeping regional business systems healthy. You'll monitor dashboards, handle releases and access requests, collect logs when things break, and pass clean tickets to engineering teams. You'll also write SOPs, run handovers, and support local projects from kickoff to close. This is a business-facing IT operations role — not a hardcore infrastructure engineering job.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily health checks on regional business systems, monitor alerts, and execute routine deployments, version updates, and access/permission management
• Gather logs, attempt to reproduce issues, and escalate to the right technical team with complete, accurate information
• Support incident handling — run the playbook and fill in post-incident reports
• Work with local teams and business stakeholders on backend configurations, data validation, user enquiries, and basic reporting
• Track ad-hoc operational requests from internal teams until each one is fully closed
• Provide cross-timezone operational support and respond to urgent business issues outside standard hours when needed
• Record handovers accurately — progress, pending items, operational risks, and on-site info
• Maintain operating documents, handover guides, SOPs, and FAQs from existing templates
• Support local project rollout — coordinate third-party vendors, business partners, and internal teams to ensure on-site execution goes smoothly

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 2 years in system operations, IT support, server administration, or a similar role
• Comfortable with Linux and Windows server day-to-day: basic CLI, system monitoring, log analysis
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud (AWS / Alibaba Cloud / Huawei Cloud)
• Familiarity with database operations, server management, and basic computer networking
• Able to handle common system/business issues independently; able to write a clear, complete ticket when escalating
• Mandarin (spoken and written) — required, to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Basic English (spoken and written) — enough to work with local teams, vendors, and business partners
• Responsible, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, with strong incident-response instincts
• Great organisational and communication skills; keeps records accurate, follows SOPs, and proactively drives issues to closure
