What they need

Job Title: Regional Operations Manager
Company: Bing Chun Pakistan
Location: Islamabad
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: PKR 300,000–400,000 per month (commensurate with experience)

About The Company:

Bing Chun Tea is a leading new-style tea beverage brand from China, with over 4500 stores nationwide. Bing Chun Pakistan (Bing Chun Food & Beverages (Pvt.) Ltd.) serves as the official Pakistan headquarters, expanding rapidly through a franchise model starting from Islamabad. We are looking for an experienced, highly emotionally intelligent operations leader to work closely with the HQ Representative and drive the brand’s scalable growth in Pakistan.

Role Positioning

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and driving operational execution across all departments of Bing Chun Pakistan. This is a mid-to-senior-level management position requiring strong cross-functional leadership, nationwide operational coordination, problem-solving capabilities, and disciplined reporting to senior management.

The successful candidate will serve as a central coordination point between departmental heads, franchisees, store operations, the local management team, and the China HQ team. The role requires the ability to identify operational problems, coordinate practical solutions, ensure accountability, and maintain alignment across all departments.

The position requires a hands-on leader who can translate approved strategies into action, monitor departmental execution, resolve interdepartmental conflicts, and maintain transparency throughout the organization. The successful candidate must demonstrate high emotional intelligence, professional maturity, sound judgment, and the ability to unite teams around shared business objectives.

The Regional Operations Manager is expected to exercise operational authority within approved policies and delegated responsibilities. Major strategic, financial, personnel, commercial, and business decisions must be discussed with and approved by the CEO and shareholders where required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cross-Departmental Management and Coordination

  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of all departments to ensure alignment with company objectives and management directives.
  • Work closely with departmental heads to establish priorities, assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Review departmental performance and identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and areas requiring improvement.
  • Ensure departments collaborate effectively and do not operate in isolation.
  • Identify recurring problems and coordinate practical corrective actions with the responsible department heads.
  • Maintain accountability for departmental commitments, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
  • Escalate significant operational problems, business risks, resource requirements, and unresolved issues to the CEO and shareholders.
  • Ensure management instructions are communicated accurately and implemented consistently.
  • Develop structured reporting and follow-up mechanisms to improve coordination and execution across departments.

2. Franchisee Communication and Coordination

  • Serve as the primary operational communication link between the brand, franchisees, and relevant internal departments.
  • Handle franchisee inquiries, complaints, requests, operational challenges, and conflicts professionally.
  • Organize franchisee meetings, operational reviews, training sessions, and events to strengthen relationships.
  • Identify franchisee dissatisfaction, investigate underlying causes, and coordinate appropriate corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of franchisee communications, commitments, complaints, and resolution status.
  • Ensure franchisee concerns are communicated to the appropriate decision-makers.
  • Escalate significant commercial disputes, contractual issues, and matters requiring senior management approval.

3. Nationwide Store Operations Management

  • Monitor the operational performance of stores nationwide and ensure compliance with approved operating standards.
  • Maintain consistency in product quality, customer service, hygiene, store presentation, and brand standards.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of products, ingredients, and operating supplies.
  • Review store-level reports and identify performance gaps, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate solutions for supply shortages, staffing gaps, equipment issues, and service disruptions.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
  • Conduct store visits and operational inspections as necessary.
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized operating procedures for a growing franchise network.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to improve store efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational consistency.

4. Problem-Solving and Operational Improvement

  • Identify operational bottlenecks, recurring issues, and inefficiencies affecting business performance.
  • Investigate root causes and develop practical recommendations rather than relying on temporary fixes.
  • Coordinate with departmental heads to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Establish clear ownership, deadlines, and follow-up procedures for unresolved matters.
  • Evaluate the operational impact of proposed solutions and communicate resource requirements to senior management.
  • Monitor whether corrective actions deliver the intended results.
  • Escalate issues that exceed delegated authority or require financial, strategic, or policy approval.
  • Recommend improvements to operational systems, workflows, reporting structures, and departmental coordination.
  • Refer financial approvals, sensitive personnel matters, compensation decisions, and other reserved matters to the CEO/Lead Shareholder in accordance with company policy and delegated authority.

5. Team Management and Organizational Cohesion

  • Build a disciplined, accountable, and collaborative working culture across departments.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, communication channels, and performance expectations for departmental heads and operational teams.
  • Identify and resolve internal conflicts affecting productivity, cooperation, and business performance.
  • Promote effective communication between Chinese management representatives and the local Pakistani team.
  • Encourage transparency, professional conduct, and accountability at every level.
  • Identify management capability gaps and recommend appropriate training and development.
  • Prevent internal cliques, competing power structures, and departmental silos.
  • Ensure operational concerns are addressed professionally and escalated through appropriate channels.
  • Promote a solutions-oriented culture in which departments take ownership of problems rather than shifting responsibility.

6. Strategy Execution and Business Expansion

  • Execute strategies, policies, and operating standards approved by the CEO, Lead Shareholder, and HQ Representative.
  • Translate management objectives into actionable departmental plans with clear responsibilities, timelines, and performance measures.
  • Coordinate new store openings, franchise launches, product introductions, and marketing campaign execution.
  • Coordinate site readiness, renovation, equipment installation, recruitment, training, and opening preparations with the relevant teams.
  • Ensure new stores are operationally prepared and aligned with approved brand standards.
  • Identify risks that may affect expansion, profitability, service quality, or brand reputation.
  • Submit recommendations to improve efficiency, control costs, strengthen franchisee relationships, and support sustainable growth.
  • Obtain the required approvals before implementing major changes to business strategy, commercial commitments, budgets, or operating policies.

7. Reporting and Information Transparency

  • Submit regular operational reports to the CEO, Lead Shareholder, and designated Bing Chun HQ Representative.
  • Consolidate departmental updates into clear management reports covering performance, pending issues, risks, corrective actions, and progress.
  • Report significant problems promptly and transparently.
  • Present proposed solutions alongside identified problems, including required resources, expected outcomes, and potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities, franchisee communications, store performance, supplier coordination, and implementation progress.
  • Ensure relevant information is recorded in company systems and accessible to authorized management.
  • Monitor departmental commitments and follow up on overdue actions.
  • Maintain transparency regarding operational delays, business risks, and unresolved issues.
  • Avoid unilateral decisions outside delegated authority and ensure appropriate consultation and approval.

8. Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Operational Infrastructure

  • Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, warehouse, and logistics teams to support uninterrupted store operations.
  • Monitor inventory availability, supply delays, distribution efficiency, and recurring procurement issues.
  • Coordinate operational requirements for store renovation, equipment installation, maintenance, and infrastructure readiness.
  • Identify inefficiencies affecting product availability, operating costs, and store performance.
  • Work with relevant departmental heads to develop corrective actions and improve operational reliability.
  • Ensure operational dependencies are addressed before new store openings and major business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Pakistani national with fluency in Chinese and English, both spoken and written.
  • At least 8 years of operations or business management experience, preferably in chain F&B, retail, or QSR businesses.
  • At least 3 years of multi-store, regional, or cross-functional management experience.
  • Experience working with a major international chain brand in Pakistan, such as KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Domino's, food panda, Cheezious, Crumbles or a comparable international operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple departments, manage departmental heads, and drive execution across an organization.
  • Strong understanding of franchise operations, franchisee communication, and multi-site business management.
  • Proven experience in operational problem-solving, performance monitoring, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, analytical, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Ability to translate senior management directives into actionable operational plans.
  • Strong accountability, transparency, and upward-reporting habits.
  • Ability to work under senior management supervision and obtain approval for major decisions.
  • A practical, hands-on leadership approach suited to a growing organization requiring structure, coordination, and operational discipline.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Chinese companies or Sino-foreign joint ventures.
  • Experience building operational teams, departmental structures, or management systems from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
  • Practical experience in at least two of the following: supply chain, warehouse management, store renovation, equipment installation, or new-store openings.
  • Experience implementing KPIs, operational dashboards, SOPs, and departmental reporting systems.
  • Experience managing organizational growth within a franchise-based business model.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of PKR 300,000–400,000 per month, commensurate with experience and suitability.
  • Performance bonus linked to franchise signings, store openings, and operational metrics.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and operational development of Bing Chun Pakistan.
  • Career growth, with the opportunity to advance to Regional Operations Head as the brand expands.
  • An international working environment involving close collaboration with the China HQ team and exposure to international brand operations.
