Regional Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead and optimize our transportation dispatching processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination of freight and vehicle dispatch activities, ensuring seamless communication across teams, adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and efficient route planning. Your leadership will drive operational excellence in road transportation operations, leveraging advanced transportation management systems and logistics tools to meet customer expectations and improve overall supply chain performance. Duties

• Oversee daily dispatch operations for freight movement, ensuring timely and accurate vehicle deployment using dispatch software and transportation management systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams, drivers, carriers, and customers via phone call management and internal communication channels to facilitate smooth logistics workflows.
• Utilize GPS technology to optimize routing, monitor vehicle locations, and enhance transportation planning strategies.
• Conduct analysis of dispatch data to identify inefficiencies and develop strategies for continuous improvement in fleet management and transportation planning.
• Lead customer service efforts by managing phone etiquette during inquiries or issues related to freight dispatching while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Supervise the use of vehicle fleet management tools to streamline operations.
• Facilitate effective internal communication across departments such as shipping & receiving, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on operational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics management with a strong understanding of freight dispatching processes.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards applicable to road transportation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with a focus on phone call management, phone etiquette, and internal communication channels.
• Familiarity with supply chain concepts including shipping & receiving, freight management, fleet management, and 3PL partnerships.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for data entry and reporting purposes; typing skills should be proficient for quick documentation.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
