The position will lead industrial projects, support reliability and maintenance system improvements, develop engineering standards, and drive sustainable solutions across multiple manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical engineering capability with project management experience and is comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Reliability Engineering & Standards Development

  • Research, interpret, and apply relevant engineering, reliability, and maintenance standards to improve process stability, asset performance, and maintainability.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, failure mode assessments, and reliability reviews to identify and eliminate chronic losses.
  • Develop engineering specifications, design guidelines, and best practices for deployment across manufacturing facilities.
  • Evaluate equipment, systems, and processes to identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support asset criticality assessments, lifecycle planning, and risk-based replacement strategies.

Project Management

  • Lead industrial-scale projects involving facility systems, manufacturing processes, major equipment upgrades, and capacity improvement initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage contractors to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Develop and review project scope documents, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in equipment design reviews, FATs, SATs, commissioning, and startup activities.

Maintenance Systems & CMMS Governance

  • Assess and improve maintenance programs, preventive maintenance strategies, and work management processes.
  • Review and optimize CMMS structures, asset hierarchies, PM programs, and maintenance workflows to align with industry best practices.
  • Develop and monitor maintenance and reliability KPIs, including PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, and asset performance metrics.
  • Support standardization of maintenance practices and asset management processes across facilities.

Technical Problem Solving & Field Support

  • Perform field assessments and directly observe equipment and processes to validate operating conditions, identify gaps, and support solution development.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues utilizing engineering analysis, data evaluation, inspection, and testing methods.
  • Validate implemented solutions through field verification and performance monitoring to ensure sustainable results.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to improve equipment and process performance.

Contract Review & Budget Management

  • Review and manage contracts for maintenance-related services, outsourced projects, and technical support activities.
  • Track project budgets and analyze spending to identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support capital planning and business-case development through technical and financial analysis.
  • Ensure project and maintenance investments align with operational objectives and long-term asset strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, reliability engineering, maintenance management, or industrial project execution.
  • Strong understanding of reliability principles, asset management, maintenance systems, and engineering standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through implementation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, or other reliability methodologies.
  • Experience improving CMMS systems, maintenance processes, and asset management programs.
  • PMP, CMRP, Six Sigma, or related professional certification.
  • Strong contractor management and vendor coordination experience.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical problem solving.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities or regional operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in industrial manufacturing environments, including exposure to machinery and production processes.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, climb, and access equipment as required for inspections, troubleshooting, project execution, and technical assessments.
