About DCSS Technology Hong Kong
DCSS Technology is a value-added IT distributor serving the Hong Kong and regional market. We partner with leading global technology principals — and source high-quality refurbished / certified pre-owned infrastructure — to deliver enterprise-grade solutions spanning servers, storage, and networking to a broad ecosystem of authorised resellers and system integrators.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Regional Product Manager to own the commercial and technical relationship between our upstream principals (vendors) — covering both new and refurbished hardware sources — and our downstream authorised reseller channel. The successful candidate will act as the central hub that translates vendor programs, pricing, and roadmaps into competitive, ready-to-sell offerings that our partners can take to end-customers with confidence.
This is a channel-facing, business-development-oriented product role — ideal for someone who understands enterprise IT infrastructure deeply, thrives on deal structuring, and enjoys building win-win commercial packages on a regular cadence.
Key Responsibilities
Principal & Vendor Management
Serve as the primary liaison with assigned principals/vendors (server, storage, and networking OEMs — new or refurbished) across the region.
Manage relationships with both authorised OEM channels and reputable refurbished / certified pre-owned suppliers, ensuring source traceability, warranty coverage, and quality assurance for all inbound hardware.
Maintain strong working relationships with vendor product managers, channel managers, and pre-sales teams to secure preferential pricing, rebates, MDF, SPIFFs, and program registrations.
Stay current with each vendor's product roadmap, EOL / EOSL schedule, promotions, and certification requirements — leveraging EOL transitions as opportunities for refurbished-market plays.
Represent DCSS in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), joint planning sessions, and vendor enablement events.
Partner & Reseller Enablement
Package vendor offerings — new, refurbished, or hybrid new+refurb configurations — into competitive bundles, promotional SKUs, and configured solutions tailored to reseller demand.
Publish and distribute regular offer sheets, price lists, and campaign flyers to the authorised reseller network (weekly / bi-weekly / monthly cadence).
Provide pre-sales technical guidance to resellers on product positioning, BOM configuration, sizing, and new-vs-refurbished TCO comparisons for competitive replacement plays.
Drive reseller adoption of new products and refurbished alternatives through webinars, roadshows, and hands-on training.
Product & Portfolio Management
Own the P&L and inventory strategy for assigned product lines (x86 & ARM servers, SAN/NAS/object storage, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/data-center switching, firewalls, etc.) across both new and refurbished tiers.
Analyse win/loss data, pipeline coverage, and stock turn to fine-tune the product mix and grade refurbished stock (Grade A / B / C) appropriately.
Identify portfolio gaps and recommend new vendor lines, SKUs, or refurbished sources to onboard.
Manage demo units, evaluation hardware, NFR (Not-for-Resale) inventory, and refurbished stock aging.
Define and enforce quality, testing, and warranty policies for refurbished inventory (e.g., burn-in testing, wipe/erase certification, DCSS-backed warranty terms).
Deal Support & Commercial Structuring
Lead special bid pricing (SBP) and deal-registration submissions to principals for large or strategic opportunities.
Structure competitive quotations that balance margin, vendor rebate qualification, refurbished cost advantage, and reseller/end-customer expectations.
Work closely with the internal sales team to accelerate opportunities from pipeline to PO.
Market Intelligence
Track competitor (distributor, OEM, and secondary-market broker) pricing, promotions, and channel programs across Hong Kong and the region.
Monitor the secondary / refurbished market for pricing signals, supply availability, and emerging suppliers.
Provide feedback to principals on market trends, pricing sensitivity, and product feature gaps.
Requirements
Experience
6+ years in product management, product marketing, business development, or channel management within IT distribution, a vendor, a value-added reseller, or a refurbished-IT specialist.
Solid hands-on knowledge of at least two of the following categories:
Servers: rack / tower / blade / hyperconverged (e.g., Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, Supermicro)
Storage: SAN, NAS, all-flash arrays, object storage, backup appliances (e.g., NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell PowerStore, HPE Alletra, Huawei OceanStor)
Networking: switching, routing, wireless, SD-WAN, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, H3C)
Familiarity with the refurbished / certified pre-owned IT hardware market — including sourcing channels, grading standards, third-party maintenance (TPM) providers, and licensing/transfer implications — is highly desirable.
Proven track record of managing a multi-million HKD product line or vendor relationship.
Demonstrated experience running a channel / reseller program — not purely end-user sales.
Skills & Competencies
Strong commercial acumen: comfortable modelling margins, rebates, refurbished cost basis, and landed cost.
Excellent negotiation skills with both upstream vendors (OEM and secondary-market) and downstream partners.
Ability to translate technical specs into a compelling partner-ready value proposition, including new-vs-refurbished positioning.
Advanced Excel (pricing models, config sheets) and confident with quoting/ERP systems.
Highly organised — can maintain a disciplined publishing cadence of offer sheets and promotions.
Language & Communication
Business-level English and Cantonese required; Mandarin strongly preferred for regional partner and principal communication.
Confident public speaker for reseller webinars and vendor pitches.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, HPE ASE, Dell Technologies Proven Professional, Fortinet NSE, NetApp NCDA) are a strong plus.
What We Offer
Competitive base salary with performance-linked bonus tied to product-line GP and vendor program achievement.
Direct exposure to tier-1 global technology principals, the regional refurbished-IT ecosystem, and reseller partners.
Sponsored vendor certifications and overseas training opportunities.
Medical, MPF top-up, and standard Hong Kong statutory benefits.
A lean, entrepreneurial team where your product decisions translate directly into channel wins.
How to Apply
Send your CV and a short cover note outlining
(1) the vendor lines (new and/or refurbished) you have managed,
(2) your largest deal or program win, and
(3) your expected package.
