What they need

Regional Program Development Manager

Community Care | Sensible Care | Victoria | Full-time
$120,000–$130,000 plus superannuation, company vehicle and fuel, and annual performance bonus up to $30,000

·        Build and lead a program with direct access to the CEO.

·        Combine regional community engagement with practical people leadership.

·        Take ownership with support from established operational and clinical teams.

About the opportunity

Lead the establishment and growth of a community care program across regional Victoria. Recruit and develop people, build trusted local relationships and turn plans into reliable services, supported by Sensible Care’s operational and clinical teams.

Sensible Care is an established Support at Home provider. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take responsibility for implementation, team development, budgets and results. This is a hands-on role with regular time in regional communities, including overnight travel.

What you will do

·        Take new service initiatives from planning through to successful implementation.

·        Recruit, coach and support people working across different locations.

·        Establish productive relationships with community organisations and health-sector stakeholders.

·        Work with operational and clinical colleagues to support workforce availability and reliable services.

·        Manage plans, budgets and performance reporting, resolving practical barriers as they arise.

·        Use feedback and results to improve the approach as the program develops.

What you will bring

You have built or expanded a service, territory or team and can explain what you personally contributed and what results followed. You know how to find capable people, help them succeed and maintain accountability across different locations.

You are comfortable starting relationships where none exist, listening before proposing solutions and earning trust through reliable follow-through. You can also manage a budget, keep clear records and give an honest account of progress and setbacks.

We are looking for:

·        Experience leading a geographically dispersed team, service or territory.

·        An understanding of regional communities and how local relationships develop.

·        Sound recruitment judgment and practical coaching skills.

·        Evidence of implementing initiatives and delivering sustained results.

·        Clear communication, commercial awareness and disciplined follow-through.

·        The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with central support teams.

·        Willingness and ability to undertake regular regional travel, including overnight stays.

Experience in aged care, community health or related services is valuable. We also welcome applicants with transferable experience in regional service operations, community banking, franchise operations or other community-facing sectors. A clinical qualification is not required.

What we offer

·        A base salary of $120,000–$130,000, plus superannuation, company vehicle and fuel, and an annual performance bonus opportunity of up to $30,000.

·        Direct access to the CEO and meaningful responsibility for program development.

·        Support from established operational and clinical teams.

·        The opportunity to shape how services develop and see the results of your work.

·        A Victorian work base agreed with the successful candidate, taking service and travel requirements into account.

How to apply

Submit your CV and a short cover letter through this advertisement, answering:

Tell us about a service, territory or team you built or improved. What did you inherit, what did you personally do, and what results have been sustained?

Examples from your current role are welcome.

Selection includes structured interviews, a short fictional work sample and reference checks. Further program details will be shared with shortlisted candidates under confidentiality. Applications will be treated confidentially. Appointment is subject to relevant employment checks and the ability to meet the role’s travel requirements.
