Regional Service Technician (Access Controls)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Regional Service Technician specializing in Security Access Controls to join our team. This role involves on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair of access control systems across multiple commercial locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field service, equipment repair, and low voltage systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and networking issues. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems (DMP, Lenel, Brivo or similar systems) at various client sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on access control hardware and associated equipment.
• Use hand tools and schematics to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Conduct equipment testing using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including computer hardware and low voltage wiring.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure systems operate correctly and meet security standards.
• Document service activities, system configurations, and repairs accurately in service reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols during installations and repairs.
• Travel regionally to support multiple sites, ensuring timely service delivery.

Skills

• Certification or experience with DMP, Lenel, Brivo or similar systems.
• Proven experience in field service or as a service technician within security or access control systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for system installation and repair purposes.
• Experience with computer networking concepts relevant to access control systems.
• Knowledge of low voltage wiring standards, electrical safety practices, and equipment repair procedures.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
