About the Role

Cooper&Hunter is seeking an experienced  Regional Technical Trainer  to support the continued growth of our technical training program across the United States.

This position requires direct HVAC industry experience, including experience working for an HVAC manufacturer and strong technical knowledge of ductless inverter systems.

We are looking for a technically strong, proactive HVAC professional who can not only deliver high-quality training but also help us  develop, improve, and shape our technical training program .

The right candidate will have hands-on knowledge of HVAC installation, service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting and will be comfortable translating that knowledge into practical training for contractors, technicians, distributors, and internal teams.

This is an opportunity to take ownership, bring new ideas, and play an important role in building our training capabilities as Cooper&Hunter continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on technical training for HVAC contractors, technicians, distributors, and internal teams
  • Conduct training focused on  ductless inverter systems , including installation, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and application
  • Develop and improve technical training courses, presentations, hands-on exercises, and supporting materials
  • Evaluate existing training programs and proactively recommend improvements
  • Identify technical knowledge gaps and training needs based on feedback and experience in the field
  • Work closely with our Technical Department to develop new courses and strengthen existing training programs
  • Provide technical education and product support to our distributor and contractor network
  • Conduct classroom, hands-on, virtual, and field-based technical training
  • Support distributor events, trade shows, technical seminars, and industry events
  • Gather feedback from technicians, contractors, and distributors and communicate relevant insights to internal teams
  • Stay current on HVAC technologies, inverter systems, installation practices, diagnostics, and industry developments
  • Take ownership of training initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to improve the program
  • Represent Cooper&Hunter professionally throughout the HVAC industry
  • Travel throughout the assigned region and nationally when required

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

  • Professional experience working for an HVAC manufacturer
  • Strong technical experience with ductless inverter HVAC systems
  • Hands-on knowledge of HVAC installation, commissioning, service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of inverter-driven equipment and controls
  • Experience in technical training, field technical support, applications, service, or a closely related HVAC technical role
  • Ability to confidently troubleshoot HVAC systems and explain the diagnostic process to technicians
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, practical instruction
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and willingness to help build and improve programs
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately  70%
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by both car and air

Candidates without HVAC industry experience or without technical experience working with ductless inverter systems will not be considered for this position.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for more than someone who can present an existing training course.

The ideal candidate is an HVAC professional who understands the equipment, knows what technicians encounter in the field, and can use that experience to make training better.

You should be comfortable  taking initiative, developing ideas, improving courses, identifying training needs, and helping shape the direction of the program .

As our organization grows, we want this person to grow with it and take on increasing responsibility within our technical training organization.

Why Cooper&Hunter

Cooper&Hunter is continuing to expand its presence in the U.S., creating opportunities for people who want to be directly involved in that growth.

For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to do more than conduct training. You will have the ability to  help shape courses, improve our training approach, introduce new ideas, and contribute to the development of our technical training program .

If you have  HVAC manufacturer experience, strong ductless inverter expertise, and the drive to help build and improve a growing technical training program , we would like to hear from you.
