Duties

• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and modifying reservations using platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and manage waitlists to optimize table turnover.
• Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Coordinate with the host/hostess team to ensure seamless guest flow and timely seating.
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special requests using restaurant table management systems.
• Support food safety standards by adhering to proper procedures when handling guest information and transactions.
• Assist in processing payments through POS systems while ensuring accuracy with basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both over the phone and face-to-face.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage reservations efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math proficiency for processing payments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus, especially Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
