Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are an essential part of our clinical team, working alongside BCBAs and families to help children reach their full potential.

Position Summary

Lacuna Autism Services is seeking compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities.

Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), RBTs implement individualized treatment plans, collect clinical data, and help children build the skills needed to succeed at home, school, and in their communities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clinic, home, school, and community settings as assigned.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress.
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies using evidence-based ABA techniques.
  • Assist with toileting, diaper changing, feeding, and other activities of daily living as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication with families and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the BACB, or the ability to obtain certification within required timelines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, when required for assigned caseload.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them reach meaningful goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience providing ABA or behavioral health services.
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position working directly with children. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently sit on the floor, kneel, squat, bend, stand, walk, and run throughout the day.

The position requires active participation in play-based therapy and the ability to respond quickly to client behaviors to maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Team members may implement safety procedures, including blocking and redirecting behaviors, and assist with activities of daily living, including toileting and diaper changing, while maintaining client dignity and following company policies.
