About Chicago Integrated Health

Chicago Integrated Health is a growing wellness organization committed to helping individuals and families find their happy place in health. We provide compassionate, individualized services and value collaboration across disciplines.

We are expanding our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team.

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician will provide direct ABA services to clients under the clinical supervision and direction of a qualified BCBA.

The RBT will implement individualized treatment and behavior-support programs, collect and document clinical data, support skill acquisition and behavior-reduction programming, and maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for clients.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, proactive, adaptable, and genuinely invested in helping clients make meaningful progress.

Essential Responsibilities

Direct Client Services

  • Provide direct ABA services to assigned clients under BCBA supervision.
  • Implement individualized treatment and behavior-support programs as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Follow established clinical protocols and intervention procedures.
  • Support clients in developing communication, social, behavioral, adaptive, and other identified skills.
  • Implement behavior-reduction strategies as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Use evidence-based ABA techniques appropriately and consistently.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, supportive, and engaging environment.
  • Support generalization of skills across appropriate activities and environments.
  • Maintain professional and therapeutic boundaries with clients and families.

Data Collection & Documentation

  • Collect accurate data during client sessions.
  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within established timelines.
  • Document relevant client behaviors, responses, and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with HIPAA, payer, and organizational requirements.
  • Communicate significant changes, safety concerns, incidents, or other concerns promptly to the supervising BCBA and appropriate leadership.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate professionally with BCBA supervisors, parents/guardians, families, and other CIH team members.
  • Participate in required supervision, training, meetings, and professional-development activities.
  • Communicate scheduling concerns, client-related issues, and barriers to service delivery promptly.
  • Ask questions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Collaborate appropriately with other members of the client's care team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Family & Client Engagement

  • Build positive, respectful, and professional relationships with clients and families.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and cultural responsiveness.
  • Respect individual family circumstances, preferences, and values.
  • Support family engagement and caregiver education as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Represent Chicago Integrated Health professionally in all client and family interactions.

Program Support

As CIH continues developing its ABA program, the RBT may also:

  • Contribute ideas for engaging activities and client resources.
  • Identify barriers that may affect effective service delivery and communicate them appropriately.
  • Assist with developing appropriate client materials and resources.
  • Participate in program-improvement initiatives.
  • Support a collaborative and positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), as applicable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and onboarding requirements.
  • Ability to meet applicable payer, organizational, and clinical requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing ABA services.
  • Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or related needs.
  • Experience with electronic data collection or clinical documentation systems.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, behavioral-health, educational, or multidisciplinary environment.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
  • Experience working directly with families and children.

Our Ideal RBT

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate and patient.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working with children and families.
  • Calm and professional during challenging situations.
  • Comfortable receiving supervision, coaching, and constructive feedback.
  • Proactive about identifying concerns and communicating them appropriately.
  • Flexible when client needs or circumstances change.
  • Creative and willing to develop engaging activities within the client's treatment plan.
  • Resourceful when encountering barriers.
  • Respectful of clinical boundaries and the established chain of command.
  • A strong communicator and team player.
  • Committed to client dignity, safety, confidentiality, and continuity of care.
