| Summary: | The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral intervention services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT implements individualized treatment plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill acquisition, reduce challenging behaviors, and support client independence across clinical settings. |
| Essential Functions & Responsibilities: | Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred). - Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). - Completion of required competency assessment and background clearances. - Ability to pass CPR/First Aid certification (or obtain upon hire). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to follow detailed treatment protocols consistently. --- Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. - Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. - Experience in clinical, educational, or therapeutic settings. |
| Skills: | - Leadership and soft skills: - Excellent communication and relationship building skills - Ability to work effectively on a multi-treatment team - Technical skills: - Proficient in numerous clinical interventions - Knowledge of and ability to access community resources |
| Work Environment: | This job operates in a Clinic-Based ABA Therapy facility in Milwaukee, WI |
| Education and Experience: | - Bachelor's degree preferred - Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification required - Experience: Previous behavior management experience preferred - Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. |
