Registered Behavior Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role involves providing support in various settings, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collecting data to monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Working Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Hours: 10:30am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence.
• Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards treatment goals.
• Teach social skills, communication strategies, and other essential life skills.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements

• 2 years or more of Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health principles.
• Ability to assist with patient care, including understanding medical terminology and documentation practices.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Experience in data collection methods related to behavior management.
• Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
