Registered Behavior Technician

Duties

• Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques.
• Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to ensure accurate documentation for treatment planning.
• Support clients during therapy sessions, promoting skill development in communication, socialization, and adaptive behaviors.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Engage in ongoing training related to behavioral health, behavior management strategies, and medical terminology relevant to the role.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and managing behavior challenges effectively.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management techniques is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, strong observational skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with autism.
• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain RBT certification is required or preferred
• Criminal background check required
• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
