Registered Behavior Technician

Overview

Improve ABA is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing clinical team in Hawthorne, NJ. In this role, you will work 1-on-1 with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in home and community settings, delivering evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy designed to build essential life skills and reduce challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1-on-1 ABA therapy to clients during scheduled afternoon sessions.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill-acquisition programs designed by the supervising BCBA.
• Collect accurate, real-time clinical data using CentralReach.
• Support client independence in communication, social skills, self-care, and play.
• Collaborate closely with family members, caregivers, and supervising BCBAs to ensure consistent progress.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality regarding patient care and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (Required).
• Software Experience: Proficiency with CentralReach for data collection and session logging (Required).
• Availability: Available for afternoon and after-school hours.
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; experience working with children with special needs or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliability: Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and access to reliable transportation.
