Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities while applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to strengthen skill acquisition. An RBT works under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst.

Certification from BACB is required for this position.

Duties include:

• Provide direct patient care in 1:1 and small group settings

• Provide care across settings i.e. home, clinic, and community

• Follow skill acquisition protocols as prescribed by supervising BCBA or BCaBA

• Follow behavior reduction protocols to reduce problematic behaviors

• Record data on patient behavior and skill acquisition programs

• Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, caregivers, and patient

• Maintain privacy of all patient records

• Follow HIPAA guidelines for all patients

• Assist with patient assessments and attend team workshops

• Act as a liaison between caregivers and clinic administrators

Key Qualifications:

• Must be credentialed and in good standing with the BACB as a Registered Behavior Technician

• High school diploma or higher

• Have strong written and expressive communication skills

• Be reliable and able to work in settings without constant direct supervision

• Be 18 years or older

• Have experience working with children, preferably children with learning differences

• Ability to work with children and pass an extensive background check

• Permitted to work in the U.S.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
