Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Plano, TX and Surrounding Areas (In-Home, School, and Community-Based ABA Services)

Company: Sierra Behavioral Therapy (SBT)

About Sierra Behavioral Therapy

Sierra Behavioral Therapy (SBT) is a growing, high-quality ABA agency serving families in Arlington and surrounding Texas communities. We specialize in individualized, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for children and adults with autism and other developmental differences.

We mix the warmth of a close-knit staff with the therapeutic quality of a larger business. We don't think that therapy should be the same for everyone. We work with families to make sure our services are individualized and culturally appropriate. We are delighted to offer ABA services to our clients in both English and Spanish.

Our mission is simple: provide compassionate, ethical, high-quality care that helps individuals with ASD build meaningful skills and supports families every step of the way.

Position Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our growing team in Arlington, TX and near by areas.

As an RBT at Sierra Behavioral Therapy, you will work directly with children and adults to implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will play a critical role in helping clients develop communication, social, academic, and daily living skills while promoting positive, respectful behavior support.

This is a meaningful opportunity for professionals who want to make a lasting difference while growing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, and out in the community
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed and supervised by a BCBA
  • Use evidence-based, ethical behavior support strategies
  • Teach and reinforce skills across communication, social interaction, play, academic readiness, and adaptive living domains
  • Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding, as appropriate
  • Collect and record accurate data during therapy sessions to track client progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA, BACB guidelines, and company policies
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with families, supervisors, and team members
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Active RBT certification through the BACB (or a willingness to obtain with our company-provided training)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
  • Must pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation
