Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Part-Time

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, dependable, and committed to making a meaningful difference through high-quality ABA services. Active LLC and Miami-Dade County Badge preferred.

Services will be provided in school setting in the Miami Gardens area under the supervision of a BCBA.This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in teaching, data collection, and patient care contribute directly to positive outcomes. Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques based on individualized care plans aligned with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Collaborate openly and respectfully with teachers, school staff, therapists and other professionals to support the child's success in the classroom
• Help the child follow the daily classroom routine, including arrival, transitions between activities, lunch, recess and dismissal
• Support clients during therapy sessions by reinforcing positive behaviors and managing behavioral challenges through effective behavior management strategies.
• Implement social skills training during natural opportunities with peers, such as group work, play and lunchtime
• Implement the behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans exactly as written by the supervising BCBA
• Use prompting and reinforcement strategies as directed, and fade support over time to build the child's independence
• Collect accurate, objective data throughout each session using ABA Matrix
• Submit complete session notes within 24 hours of each session
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and team members to ensure consistency in treatment delivery and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy at all times.
• Adhere to the BACB RBT Ethics Code and maintain active RBT certification
• Requirements:
• Fluent in English
• Active RBT certification
• Reliable transportation
• Passion for helping children learn and grow
• Ability to follow treatment plans and accept feedback
• Must be dependable and consistent with schedule
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills are vital for building trusting relationships with clients and their families. Prior experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities, is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is essential.
• Experience in teaching or supporting special education programs will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with data collection methods used in behavioral health settings is important for tracking client progress accurately.
• Understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance ensures professional and ethical service delivery.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
