Duties

• Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on established treatment plans, focusing on skill development and behavior management for children and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities
• Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to ensure effective implementation of behavior intervention plans
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks to promote independence
• Support clients during educational activities by teaching new skills and reinforcing positive behaviors in accordance with therapeutic goals
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
• Collaborate with team members to adjust intervention strategies based on data insights and client needs
• Uphold patient care standards by adhering to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring a safe environment during all interactions

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles is advantageous
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively teach, motivate, and support clients and their families
• Ability to collect detailed data accurately and maintain meticulous documentation for progress tracking
• Compassionate attitude with patience and enthusiasm for working with diverse populations in behavioral health settings
