Registered Care Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Care Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality care within our Domiciliary care environment. In this vital role, you will coordinate daily operations, supervise care staff, and ensure that residents receive personalized, respectful, and effective care. Your leadership will foster a positive atmosphere that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for all residents. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in senior care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments, with a strong focus on dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Duties

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s-specific strategies.
• Supervise and support care staff by providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of care delivery.
• Oversee medication administration processes to guarantee safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily operations of the care home, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to facilitate seamless communication and optimal resident outcomes.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust care plans proactively to enhance quality of life.
• Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional growth, leadership development, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in assisted living or domiciliary care environments with a focus on senior care.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or an equivalent management qualification).
• Previous management or senior supervisory experience in adult social care, particularly domiciliary care/homecare.
• Knowledge and experience of person-centred care, safeguarding, medication, risk management, mental capacity and consent.
• Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and CQC regulations, including the fundamental standards. Experience of care planning, audits, complaints, incidents and quality assurance.
• Experience managing and supervising care staff, including recruitment, induction, training, competency assessment and performance management.
• Understanding of staffing, rotas, care-call monitoring and continuity of care in a domiciliary setting.
• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of care planning processes and regulatory compliance related to care homes or home care services.
• Excellent leadership abilities combined with compassionate communication skills.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,500.00 per year
