Are you an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager looking for your next challenge?

We are looking for an ambitious, passionate and experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead and manage a solo-placement EBD children’s home in Loughborough.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional manager who wants to make a genuine difference to the life of a young person while having the autonomy to develop and maintain a high-quality home.

You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are maintained.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

• Take overall responsibility for the management and operation of the home.
• Provide strong leadership to the care team and create a positive, nurturing culture.
• Ensure the young person receives outstanding, individualised care and support.
• Manage and support staff through supervision, training, development and performance management.
• Ensure the home consistently meets Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Work closely with social workers, placing authorities, education providers, healthcare professionals and other external agencies.
• Manage rotas, staffing, budgets and resources effectively.
• Monitor the quality of care through audits, records, key-work sessions and regular reviews.
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and ensure the home remains inspection-ready.
• Promote positive outcomes, independence, emotional wellbeing and personal development for the young person.
• Build strong relationships with the young person, ensuring their voice and individual needs remain at the centre of everything we do.

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, resilient and genuinely passionate about working with children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager / Home Manager within a children's residential setting.
• Experience working with EBD, trauma, challenging behaviour or complex needs.
• A strong understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Experience of working with Ofsted and maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people.
• A relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to complete it where appropriate.
• The ability to build, motivate and retain a high-performing team.

Pay: £55,000.00-£68,000.00 per year
