Dental Assistant – Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage

Goodyear Family Dentistry is looking for a dependable, energetic, and team-oriented dental assistant to provide temporary coverage while a team member is on maternity leave.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the doctor during dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and setting up instruments
• Taking digital X-rays and intraoral photographs
• Reviewing the daily schedule and preparing for upcoming procedures
• Sterilizing instruments and following infection-control protocols
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Educating patients about treatment and postoperative care
• Keeping rooms clean, stocked, and ready
• Supporting the clinical team to keep the schedule running smoothly
• Providing patients with a comfortable and positive experience

Qualifications:

• Previous dental-assisting experience preferred
• Arizona radiology certification preferred
• Knowledge of Open Dental and digital imaging is a plus
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Reliable, coachable, and willing to help the entire team
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice

This is a temporary position for maternity-leave coverage, with the possibility of continued employment depending on the practice’s needs and the candidate’s performance.

Schedule: M-F 8:30am- 5pm
