Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
• Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards.
• Manage patient care by taking vital signs, updating medical records, and documenting medical and dental histories accurately in patient management software.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain procedures using clear dental terminology.
• Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, dental sterilization units, and other clinical tools with precision and aseptic technique.
• Support front desk operations by assisting the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling, patient management, and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and clinical confidentiality policies.
• MINIMUM one year of dental assisting experience
• Experience working with EMR systems such as Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software.
• Proficiency in dental terminology, infection control standards, and dental sterilization procedures.
• Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery procedures.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while complying with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Familiarity with dental equipment operation including 3D scanners and medical documentation practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team focused on general dentistry services.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required*.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
