Job Overview

The RDA supports dental care by preparing treatment rooms, assisting with procedures, managing patient needs, and sanitizing instruments. The role involves direct supervision while performing dental procedures.

Key Duties

• Assist chairside during dental procedures
• Take dental x-rays and review patient health histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-exam care
• Document care services in patient records
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms and instruments
• Set up clinical trays
• Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges
• Maintain dental supply inventory
• Work collaboratively as part of a dental care team
• Use medical database, scheduling, and telemedicine software
• Follow all relevant guidelines and standards
• Complete additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Active California RDA license
• Minimum 1 year experience as an RDA
• Dental X-Ray Certification
• Coronal polishing certification
• Sealant certificate preferred
• Secondary language skills a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
