Empire Electrical Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Registered Electrician to join our team in Auckland. This full-time, permanent position involves delivering high-quality electrical installation, maintenance and repair services across a diverse range of commercial, residential, heritage and stadia environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out a wide variety of electrical installation, maintenance and repair tasks
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently
• Completing electrical inspections and certifications in line with regulatory requirements
• Ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards
• Servicing and maintaining systems in commercial, residential, stadia and heritage venues
• Working with lighting controls, automation systems, power factor correction equipment, and other commercial technologies
• Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all electrical systems
• Providing friendly, professional customer service
• Maintaining accurate records, job sheets, and documentation
• Supporting the ongoing growth and development of the business
• Being available to work some weekends and after-hours as required

What we’re looking for

• A current New Zealand Registered Electrician qualification
• 3–5+ years’ experience as a qualified Registered Electrician
• Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven experience across a broad range of commercial systems (lighting controls, automation, PFC, etc.)
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A clean and current driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
