Registered Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our care home,Alexander House Care Home, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, particularly in managing care home environments. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively supervise staff, develop care plans, and provide exceptional support to individuals with varying needs, including dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
• Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Ensure that all residents receive high-quality care that promotes their dignity and independence.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
• Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance in accordance with company policies.
• Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in dementia care and other relevant topics.
• Conduct/organise pre-admission assessments promptly on new prospect clients.
• Assist the director in budget planning and implementation for the care home.
• Monitor/supervise the essential supplies for the care home and liaise with the procurement manager promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a care home or similar setting is essential.
• Level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care or working towards the same.
• Strong understanding of senior care regulations and standards.
• Experience in developing and implementing effective care plans for residents with diverse needs.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
• Compassionate approach to caring for individuals, particularly those living with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
