What they need
Registered Manager – Nursing & Complex Dementia Care
Ashgrove Care Home, Dudley |
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Manager to lead and oversee our care services, ensuring the highest standards of resident care are delivered consistently. As a key leader within our organisation, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise in senior care, assisted living, and specialized care such as dementia and Alzheimer's will drive the success of our home. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring dedicated support and care.
Lead a nursing home that is building something special
Ashgrove is a two-unit home: a nursing unit and a residential unit. We are developing a specialist service for people living with complex dementia and behaviours that challenge.
We need an experienced Registered Manager with real clinical credibility. You will lead the whole home, raise standards, and help shape our new behavioural unit as it grows.
What you'll do
▪ Lead both units with full accountability for care quality, clinical safety and compliance
▪ Provide clinical leadership and oversight across nursing, medicines and risk, supported by your nursing team
▪ Build a stable, confident team, with clear expectations, good supervision and accountability
▪ Help develop our complex dementia and behaviour service, including referral assessment, individual support profiles and safe admissions
▪ Embed positive behaviour support, PRICE restraint reduction and meaningful daily occupation
▪ Own CQC readiness, including governance, audits, action plans and evidence against the Single Assessment Framework
▪ Work with commissioners, families and multi-disciplinary teams across Dudley, Sandwell and Birmingham
▪ Manage occupancy, staffing and budgets to keep the home safe and sustainable
What we're looking for
▪ RMN strongly preferred. We will consider an RGN with extensive complex dementia or behavioural care experience.
▪ Current NMC registration with no restrictions
▪ A proven record as an effective team manager, ideally including improving a service
▪ Direct experience of CQC inspections, with evidence of achieving or improving ratings
▪ Sound knowledge of the MCA, DoLS/LPS, safeguarding and positive behaviour support
▪ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards it)
▪ Ability to register with CQC as Registered Manager
What we offer
▪ Salary
▪ Paid NMC revalidation support
▪ Investment in specialist training, including PRICE.
