What they need

SureCare Stourbridge, Hagley & Halesowen is a growing domiciliary care service committed to delivering safe, compassionate and personalised care to people in their own homes.

As part of the nationally recognised SureCare brand, we combine established care values with the personal approach of a locally managed business.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and commercially minded Registered Manager who can lead our service, maintain high standards of care and play an important role in our continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than a traditional management position. We are looking for a confident leader who can represent our business, develop a strong team, build relationships within the community and help shape the future of our service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Care Quality, Compliance and Governance

  • Take overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the regulated domiciliary care service.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, relevant legislation, company policies and best practice.
  • Promote safe, person-centred care that protects dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
  • Oversee care assessments, care planning, risk assessments, medication management and safeguarding procedures.
  • Manage incidents, complaints and concerns effectively, ensuring appropriate investigation, reporting and learning.
  • Lead quality assurance audits, monitoring activities and continuous improvement plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure the service remains prepared for CQC inspection.

2. Staff Leadership and Development

  • Lead, motivate and support the care and office teams.
  • Oversee recruitment, safer recruitment checks, induction, training and staff development.
  • Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, spot checks and competency assessments.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, conduct and wellbeing.
  • Promote a positive working culture based on professionalism, accountability, teamwork and compassion.

3. Service Delivery and Operational Management

  • Oversee the safe and effective delivery of care services.
  • Monitor staffing levels, care capacity, continuity of care and service-user satisfaction.
  • Ensure care packages are appropriately assessed, planned, delivered and reviewed.
  • Maintain effective communication with service users, families, carers and external professionals.
  • Identify operational risks and implement appropriate improvements.

4. Business Development and Growth

  • Support the continued growth and development of SureCare Stourbridge, Hagley & Halesowen.
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, healthcare professionals, commissioners and community organisations.
  • Represent the business professionally at meetings, networking events and local activities.
  • Support new care enquiries, assessments and the development of suitable care packages.
  • Work closely with the Director/Nominated Individual to identify business opportunities, monitor performance and achieve agreed growth objectives.
  • Balance business development with safe staffing, care quality and regulatory compliance.

The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proactive, confident and approachable leader who understands both the responsibilities of regulated care management and the importance of building a successful local service.

  • Management or senior leadership experience within adult social care, ideally domiciliary care.
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding, medication management, care planning, risk assessments and the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Experience in quality assurance, staff supervision, recruitment, performance management and service improvement.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with service users, families, professionals and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to community engagement, networking and business growth.
  • Ability to take ownership, make sound decisions and maintain high standards of care.
  1. Qualifications and Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent relevant qualification, preferred.
