Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: Based in Romsey, covering Romsey and Southampton
Salary: £38,000–£41,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Bonus: Up to £2,000 linked to achieving a Good CQC rating
On-call: Rota arrangements to be agreed

About us and the role

The Armstrong Care Company provides domiciliary care that helps people live safely and independently in their own homes, with dignity, choice and respect.

We are looking for a compassionate, organised and motivated Registered Manager to lead our service across Romsey and Southampton. You will oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of care and support our team to deliver a reliable, person-centred service.

You will have full support from the directors at all times, alongside opportunities to develop your career and help shape the future of the company.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the service, maintaining care quality and CQC compliance.
• Oversee care assessments, care plans and risk assessments, ensuring support reflects each person’s needs and preferences.
• Recruit, supervise and develop staff, promoting a supportive and accountable team culture.
• Oversee staffing and rotas to ensure safe, consistent care delivery.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints and incidents, using learning to improve practice.
• Monitor quality through audits, feedback and regular reviews, keeping the service prepared for CQC assessments.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and health and social care professionals.
• Work with the directors to support sustainable growth and service improvement.

About you

You will bring:

• Experience managing or leading a domiciliary care service.
• A Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and person-centred care, and the ability to meet CQC Registered Manager registration requirements.
• Experience supporting staff, overseeing care planning and monitoring service quality.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills, with a calm, practical approach to solving problems.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across our service area.
• The right to work in the UK.

Previous experience as a Registered Manager is desirable.
