This is a unique opportunity to run a new three-bed home in Colchester, with the support of a team who’s worked in the sector for several years and truly understands it.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new home, implement your vision, and grow with an organisation committed to excellence in care. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the new home operates efficiently and meets all regulatory and quality standards, while also building positive relationships with our young people, families, and external stakeholders.

What we offer you?:

  • Genuine investment throughout every stage of your career, with the opportunity to complete relevant qualifications, including a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
  • Flexible working opportunities including part-time and variable hours.
  • A unique chance to shape and lead a new home from day one
  • Bonus of £1000 payable immediately upon successful Ofsted registration.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, lead, and develop a young-person-centred support team
  • Ensuring that each person we support has documentation that is personal to them, that support/goal plans are reviewed monthly and good, accurate notes are made, allowing the reader to see the changes or progress made
  • Acting as a role model to staff at all times. Leading and managing a highly effective support team, encouraging them to make a difference to the people we support and their lives, whilst providing the highest quality care.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and day-to-day operations
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain a culture of excellence

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recent experience working either as an Ofsted Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in supported living or children’s residential care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Willing to undertake a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted, safeguarding, and best practice
  • A Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (essential).

This is your opportunity to lead a dedicated team and make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. You will have the autonomy to manage the home while being part of an organisation that values innovation, inclusion, and excellence.
