What they need
- Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems and equipment.
- Prepare engineering plans, technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Supervise installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations of machines and systems.
- Review and approve mechanical designs, materials, and project documentation.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower, and technical coordination.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Monitor HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, manufacturing, or industrial mechanical systems depending on the industry.
- Ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance.
- Provide technical support and engineering recommendations to management and clients.
- Participate in procurement, equipment selection, and vendor evaluation.
- Sign and seal engineering documents when authorized under professional regulations.
- Licensed/Registered Mechanical Engineer with experience in design, installation, maintenance, and project management of mechanical systems.
