Limelight People is recruiting experienced Midwives for contract opportunities across the Northern Territory, including Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek, and Gove.

About the Role

• 4-12 week Midwifery contracts, with extensions often available
• Opportunities across regional and remote NT hospitals and health services
• Provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
• Support women and families throughout their maternity journey
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary maternity teams
• Opportunities across hospital-based and community maternity services
• On-call and after-hours responsibilities may apply depending on the location

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery care
• Provide antenatal and postnatal assessment and care
• Support women throughout labour and birth
• Identify and respond appropriately to maternal and neonatal complications
• Provide education, support and health promotion to women and families
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals
• Deliver culturally safe, respectful and woman-centred care

What We're Looking For

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
• Recent and relevant Midwifery experience
• Experience across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
• Regional or remote experience highly regarded
• FSEP / ALS / NRP or relevant maternity competencies advantageous, depending on the role
• Current National Police Check and required immunisation evidence
