Job Type: Part Time. Saturday or Sunday 6:30 AM to 7:00pm

Position Overview: Chesterfield County Public School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse Clinical Instructor to join our Practical Nursing Program. This role is instrumental in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals by providing high-quality clinical instruction, mentorship, and support to students in both laboratory and clinical settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to nursing education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and oversee clinical education for practical nursing students in various healthcare settings.
• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety and ethical standards in Evidence Care Practice in patient care.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and document performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure alignment between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
• Stay updated on current nursing practices and educational methodologies to enhance instructional effectiveness.
• Engage in professional development and nursing education activities.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in relevant areas, such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, geriatrics, Mental health, Maternity, or community health.
• Previous experience in nursing education, including clinical instruction or nursing mentorship, preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing standards, regulations, and best practices in clinical education.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including students, faculty, and healthcare professionals.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring future nursing professionals.
