What they need

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90003
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $120,000–$130,000 per year

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Program Manager within our recuperative care program.

This is a primarily administrative and program-focused RN position, rather than a traditional bedside nursing role. The Clinical Program Manager will oversee clinical documentation, participant care plans, coordination of medical records and H&Ps, chart compliance, quality assurance, and other clinical program functions.

The RN will also provide clinical oversight and supervision to one Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and serve as a clinical resource to our operations and care teams.

This position is ideal for an RN who enjoys care coordination, documentation, clinical oversight, and program management and is looking to transition away from a primarily bedside nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and update individualized participant care plans.
  • Review H&Ps, hospital discharge documentation, medication information, physician orders, and other clinical records.
  • Coordinate with providers and care teams to obtain missing or updated medical documentation.
  • Conduct clinical chart reviews and audits to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Monitor participant clinical needs, follow-up appointments, referrals, and continuity-of-care requirements.
  • Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and supervision to one LVN.
  • Review LVN clinical documentation and provide coaching and support as needed.
  • Serve as an RN-level clinical resource for program staff and leadership.
  • Collaborate with physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, health plans, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
  • Assist with clinical policies, procedures, workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Support quality assurance and clinical compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in clinical incident reviews and identify opportunities for corrective action or process improvement.
  • Assist with internal and external audits involving clinical documentation.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy requirements.
  • Provide limited direct RN-level clinical assistance when necessary and appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional RN experience
  • Experience with care plans, clinical documentation, case management, care coordination, or similar responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation
  • Ability to interpret H&Ps, discharge summaries, physician orders, medication records, and related healthcare documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent professional nursing judgment
  • Comfortable working in a primarily administrative/office-based nursing position
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and computer-based documentation systems

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous supervisory or clinical leadership experience
  • Experience supervising or providing clinical guidance to LVNs
  • Experience in recuperative care, medical respite, ECM/CalAIM, managed care, community health, or case management
  • Experience with chart auditing, quality assurance, or healthcare compliance

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an RN who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable balancing clinical judgment with administrative responsibilities. This individual should enjoy reviewing documentation, coordinating care, identifying gaps, and helping ensure that participants receive appropriate and well-documented services.

This position may be particularly well suited for an experienced RN looking for a role that utilizes their clinical knowledge and nursing license without the demands of a traditional bedside nursing assignment.
