What they need
About Us
Whare Tiaki Hauora is a kaupapa Maaori health provider based in Taamaki Makaurau. We began as a community marae in South Auckland in 1977 and have grown into a trusted provider delivering a wide range of health and wellbeing services across metro Auckland and into rural Counties Manukau and North Waikato.
We are one of five Waikato-Tainui network providers mandated by the iwi to serve their people. Our work is guided by kaupapa Maaori principles — placing the needs of whaanau at the centre of everything we do.
The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Oranga Tinana team at our Highbrook office. This is a fixed-term, full-time position reporting to our Senior Nurse Lead.
You will carry a mixed caseload with two primary areas of focus:
Complex care coordination — Supporting patients who have self-discharged from hospital emergency departments before receiving treatment. You will coordinate their ongoing health and social needs, building strong working relationships with both primary and secondary health providers to help whaanau navigate the health system and reach their own goals.
Immunisation and vaccination — Delivering vaccinations across all age groups to eligible whaanau, and supporting the wider Immunisation Coordinator team. We are looking for a nurse who holds an authorised independent vaccinator status.
You will work within your scope of practice as a regulated health professional, provide clinical oversight, and contribute leadership to the wider clinical team and organisation.

Have experience working with whaanau Maaori, with a commitment to cultural safety and equity.
