Job Summary

Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and injections accurately, following prescribed protocols and ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes precisely.
• Manage IV infusions, catheter care, wound suturing, and aseptic techniques to prevent infections and promote healing.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and basic imaging procedures like sonography or radiography when required.
• Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as those in ICU or trauma centers, including airway management and ventilator support.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams in acute care settings such as emergency rooms, surgical units, or long-term care facilities to deliver coordinated patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
• Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
• Experience with critical care procedures such as trauma medicine, cardiac catheterization support, dialysis management, or neonatal resuscitation is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physical assessments accurately and respond effectively during critical situations using basic life support (BLS) skills.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus.

Pay: $39.32 - $47.35 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 60.0 per week
