What they need

Why you will love Working Here
Getting older can mean giving up a lot, your home, your routine, your sense of independence. We don’t think it should.

With more than 700 team members and 200 volunteers, we’re here to help people keep living the life they love, with reliable in-home and community care, a local team who knows the neighbourhood, and the kind of support that always has time for a cuppa and a chat.

And we look after our team the same way. We offer real support, meaningful recognition, and rewards that reflect the difference you make every day.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Clear, supported career pathways and training to help you grow
  • Full induction and buddy shifts
  • Branded workwear
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging ($15,900 per annum)
  • Leave loading to make your time off even more rewarding
  • Monthly clinical development sessions to support your learning goals
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Employee referral reward program - because good people know good people
  • Fitness Passport - access to gyms and wellness facilities
  • Employee Assistance Program - confidential support when you need it
  • QLeave - portable long service leave that recognises long-term care work

What you will be doing
As a Community Registered Nurse, you’ll be part of a warm, grounded clinical team that shows up with compassion, skill, and a genuine commitment to making life better for people in their own homes.

This isn’t hospital nursing. It’s local, mobile, and personal. You’ll meet with customers in their home in Rockhampton, assess their needs, and provide preventative, holistic care that fits around their life, not the other way around. You’ll also keep clear, thoughtful records that help us stay on the same page and deliver consistent support.

This role offers genuine flexibility, supporting a great work–life balance. We are offering a permanent part-time position (45.6 hours per fortnight), with the ability to set a consistent schedule that aligns with your commitments — whether around school drop-offs or other priorities. Let us know what works best for you in your cover letter!

You will Thrive in this role if you
Are someone who sees the person behind the care plan. You’re calm under pressure, curious about better ways to help, and ready to make a real difference in your community. You’ll also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Nursing and current AHPRA registration
  • Experience and strong interest in supporting people who are ageing
  • Clinical skills across assessment, wound care, medication support, continence management, and more
  • Confidence working independently and managing your time
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset, especially when working with a multidisciplinary team
  • Confidence with technology and attention to detail when documenting care
  • A valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle you will use for work
  • First Aid, CPR, and a National Criminal History Check (or are happy to get)

Belonging Starts Here
We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.

We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.

Apply
If you’re ready to be part of something that truly matters - we’d love to hear from you. Apply online today and start your career with heart!

"We proudly work across the lands of the Gubbi Gubbi (Gub-bee Gub-bee), Turrbal, Yuggera, Darumbal, Butchulla (Batjala) & Taribelang Bunda peoples, and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming workplace for all."

Other offers great for you!
