Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse to work in a College Health Center.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides comprehensive health services for all students, faculty and staff and maintain their health records.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: The Health Center Nurse reports directly to the Nursing Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain current health records emergency medical information on Health Center Patients as directed by state regulations
• Implement screening for risk and wellness.
• Develop an individual nursing care plan to meet the cultural, educational, emotional, mental physical needs of students.
• Assess the safety of the environment and provide all necessary supplies for the safe functioning of the classrooms.
• Develop policies and procedures to insure optimum health of all staff and students.
• Provide OSHA training and Hepatitis B injections as requested by schools.
• Operate Flu clinics.
• Collaborate with agencies within and outside the community to ensure continuity of service and care.
• Participate in continuing education programs to increase knowledge and update skills. Assume professional responsibilities through membership and active participation in appropriate professional organizations.
• Maintain working with relationship with IHS medical director, IHS staff and the staff and faculty of Goodwin College.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
