About the Opportunity

My client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Behavioral Health team. This role is ideal for an RN who is comfortable working in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment and providing quality care to patients with a variety of mental health and behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop appropriate plans of care.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications according to facility policies and procedures.
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity and respect.
• Assist with treatment planning and patient care coordination.
• Supervise and oversee staff during assigned shifts.
• Delegate appropriate tasks and provide direction to members of the care team.
• Ensure nursing policies, procedures, and patient-care standards are followed.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Use critical thinking and sound judgment when making patient-care decisions.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health experience required.
• Previous psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred.
• Experience with psychiatric, geriatric, chemical dependency, or dual-diagnosis patients is a plus.
• Acute Care/ER experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work effectively in a stressful healthcare environment.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
• De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $70,000–$87,000 annually
