Registered Nurse

Full-Time | Four Days a Week | Onsite | South Fort Myers, FL

Pay: Starting at $38.00/hour, based on experience

Join a close-knit nursing team at a busy ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in South Fort Myers. You'll work a four-day week in a friendly setting with great benefits.

About the Role

Our nurses work together across the full surgical experience: preoperative assessments, circulating or scrubbing in the OR, primary post-anesthesia monitoring, secondary discharge, infection control, and risk management. Beyond patient care, you'll help manage equipment and supplies, keep accurate records, take part in staff education, help review and improve surgical nursing procedures and standards, and support research projects.

What You'll Do

Patient Care

Keep patients safe and deliver care that meets nursing practice standards

Provide primary patient care as needed

Support nursing activities during a code so every patient's needs are met

Work with the Nurse Manager to identify and solve patient care problems

Equipment, Supplies & Inventory

Coordinate equipment and supplies so your area runs smoothly

Review stock levels to make sure they match usage

Check inventory records for accuracy and proper procedures

Keep work areas clean and organized

Teamwork & Communication

Build strong working relationships with the administrator, medical director, anesthesia staff, physicians, coworkers, patients, and families

Keep the Nurse Manager and Administrator updated on staffing and supplies in your area

Follow the center's policies and procedures

Professional Growth

Keep your skills current through continuing education

Attend professional meetings, workshops, and in-service training

Take feedback and suggestions with a professional, open mind

Requirements

Current RN license with the Florida Board of Nursing

BLS and ACLS certification

Preferred

Two years of nursing experience

Pain management training or experience
