Registered Nurse

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual care needs.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform specialized procedures including IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, tube feeding management, and sterile dressing changes with precision and aseptic technique.
• Manage acute pain and chronic conditions by implementing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide triage services in urgent care or emergency room settings by evaluating symptoms quickly and prioritizing patient needs effectively.
• Educate patients and families on health management strategies, medication administration, discharge instructions, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (RN) with current registration in the applicable state or region.
• Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU/PCU units, emergency medicine, or long-term care facilities.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and laboratory procedures.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for accurate documentation.
• Skilled in critical care procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
• Ability to perform complex skills like phlebotomy, venipuncture, lab specimen collection/processing, and aseptic techniques confidently.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly valued.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and experience managing cases related to occupational health is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations in trauma centers or Level I/II trauma center environments with excellent patient assessment skills.

Pay: $38.00 - $46.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
