Registered Nurse

Home Matters Caregiving specializes in providing In-Home care for the senior population so they may continue to enjoy the comfort and safety of their own home. Our clients need assistance with personal care, medication administration and companionship. We are currently recruiting a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse with a love for seniors and desire to teach. We are looking to hire a Per Diem or Retired Nurse

Qualifications and Education

• Current unencumbered New Jersey RN license
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and email us
• Prior experience in the Home Care field, either In Home Care or Home Health
• Prior management experience, specifically coaching and motivating employees
• Experience with delegation of nursing tasks to unlicensed persons
• Experience with geriatric population
• Flexible Schedule
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience with intakes and initial assessments of prospective clients
• Knowledge of In Home care rules and regulations
• Able to Networking with Hospice, Senior Housing Advisors, Skilled Nursing,Rehab,Hospitals, Home Health, Independent Living Facilities.

Job Duties

• Oversight of Medication administration program including Medication Administration Records (M.A.R.s), client medication orders and client medication profiles
• Communicate with Physician's regarding client medication orders
• Communicate with client's and families regarding client medication requirements
• Delegate nursing tasks to caregivers
• Teach appropriate nursing tasks to caregivers
• Provide ongoing training on medication administration and nursing tasks
• Responsible for nursing assessments, Intakes
• Be available to provide supervision and direction to caregivers
• Maintain knowledge of current regulations governing nurse practice and delegation.
• Maintain knowledge of the current New Jersey Administrative Rules governing In Home Care

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
