Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse who loves providing quality primary healthcare and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives?
We are looking for a warm, motivated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our friendly GP clinic in South Auckland.
As a teaching practice, we value learning, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge. We’re looking for someone who not only brings strong clinical skills and experience but also enjoys supporting learners and contributing to a positive, learning-focused environment.
About the role
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.
Your role will include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care and support to patients across all stages of life.
- Delivering immunizations and preventive health services.
- Performing cervical screening and other routine nursing procedures within your scope of practice.
- Supporting long-term condition management, health promotion and patient education.
- Working collaboratively with our GPs/NP and wider healthcare team.
- Contributing to our teaching environment by sharing knowledge, supporting learners and encouraging clinical development.
About you
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current practicing certificate.
- 2–3 years’ experience in primary care, ideally within a general practice setting.
- Current authorized vaccinator status.
- Cervical screening experience and appropriate qualifications or authorization as a smear taker.
- Experience using MedTech Evolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and culturally responsive approach to patient care.
- A genuine interest in teaching, mentoring and supporting others in their learning.
Experience as a preceptor would be an advantage, although a willingness to teach, share your knowledge and help others grow is just as important.
Why join us?
- A welcoming and supportive team that values collaboration and respect.
- The opportunity to make a real difference in the health and wellbeing of our South Auckland community.
- A teaching practice environment where learning and professional development are encouraged.
- A varied and rewarding nursing role where your skills, ideas and contribution are valued.
- A full-time weekday position, Monday to Friday.
