What they need

Company Description Connect Pediatrics is a pediatric home healthcare provider specializing in private duty nursing and therapy services for medically fragile children. The organization serves families across Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, focusing on high-acuity care such as tracheostomy and ventilator management, enteral and parenteral nutrition, respiratory care, and seizure intervention. Care is delivered in the home with a personalized, relationship-centered approach that supports both children and families. Connect Pediatrics collaborates closely with parents, physicians, hospitals, and interdisciplinary care teams to improve clinical outcomes, enhance stability, and promote a higher quality of life for children with complex medical needs.

Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based in San Antonio, TX and provides direct pediatric nursing care in the home setting. The Registered Nurse will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, manage tracheostomies and ventilators, and oversee enteral and parenteral nutrition as ordered by the prescribing clinician. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient status, documenting clinical observations, implementing care plans, and responding to changes in condition, including seizure activity and respiratory distress. The nurse will educate and support families on disease management, equipment use, and safety, while coordinating with physicians, therapists, and other care team members to ensure continuity and quality of care. The role also involves adhering to all clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and infection control standards.

  • Clear, compassionate communication skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation, follow care plans, and comply with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Comfort working independently in the home environment and adapting to diverse family needs and cultures.
  • Preferred: Prior pediatric home health, PICU, NICU, or complex care experience; bilingual skills are a plus.
