  • Prioritize home visits for high-need and low-need NPSP families based on clinical and program requirements.
  • Provide case management for NPSP clients, including assessment, coordination, monitoring, education, and follow-up.
  • Support families who are expecting a child or have children under four years of age.
  • Provide anticipatory guidance and education on:

    • Bereavement and adjustment
  • Provide prevention support through education, briefings, advocacy, outreach, and NPSP marketing.
  • Support FAP maltreatment cases as assigned.
  • Participate in Clinical Case Staffing (CCS), NPSP Case Staffing, Family Advocacy Committee (FAC), and other required program meetings.
  • Collaborate with the MTF Chief Nurse and FAP leadership to ensure compliance with nursing standards and integration within the MTF.
  • Maintain current knowledge of maternal, child, family, and family violence nursing practices.
  • Participate in peer review and quality assurance activities to support clinical and program compliance.
  • Collaborate with FAP staff and installation partners on targeted prevention initiatives for military families.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • U.S. Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unrestricted U.S. state nursing license.

    • Child Abuse
    • Domestic Abuse (DA)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required MTF credentials/privileges.
  • Maintain current certification in either the American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS) (Course C) or the American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS (Heart Saver) Course

Highly Preferred Experience

  • Home visitation experience, particularly with new or expectant parents.
  • Experience providing maternal and child health services in the home or community.
  • Experience working with military families.
