Registered Nurse - Float Pool - Rotating Days/Nights

Position Overview: This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Float Pool, providing inpatient care across various units within a hospital. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized care, utilizing the nursing process, and ensuring patient safety. They will float between units, supervise staff, and contribute to professional development while maintaining compliance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities Include

• Providing goal-directed nursing care for diverse patient populations.
• Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Promoting safety and adhering to ethical and evidence-based practices.
• Supervising and guiding nursing staff and maintaining thorough documentation.
• Responding effectively to emergency situations and fostering a safe work environment.

Qualifications And Skills

• At least one year of acute care inpatient RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical skills; ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required.
