About the Role

As a valued member of our general practice team, you will provide clinical assessments, evidence-based interventions, and patient education to support a diverse enrolled patient population. Working collaboratively alongside GPs, nurses, and wider healthcare professionals, you will help deliver accessible, equitable, and high-quality care that empowers patients to achieve their best health outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while contributing to a supportive, patient-centred practice environment.

Skills and Experience

• Registered Nurse with Nursing Council of NZ.

• Holds current Annual Practicing Certificate.

• Current CPR Certificate or equivalent.

• Understanding of medico/legal and ethical responsibilities.

• Knowledge of current government strategies, policies, codes, guidelines and legislation relating to nursing and health.

• Knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi Principles

The ideal candidate may also have:

• Authorised Vaccinators Certificate.
• ABC Smoking Cessation Training
• Registered Cervical Smear Taker
• Working towards or completed graduate/ post-graduate qualification in Primary Health Care Specialty Nursing, wound care, child health, long term conditions, IPC, end of life care, etc.
