Position: General Practice Registered Nurse, Part time/Casual, Monday to Friday (hours negotiable). Immediate Start

Location: South Melbourne

Salary: $35-$40 per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a registered nurse to join our dynamic and dedicated team. This role offers a great opportunity for professional growth and development, with on-the-job training provided for those new to general practice settings. You will be part of a busy clinic that delivers a wide range of services including general consultations, minor surgery, immunisations, women's health, chronic disease management, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Treatment Room Management: Oversee the upkeep of clinical equipment, manage vaccines, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and handle stock control and ordering.
• Clinical Duties: Assist with medical procedures, administer immunisations, manage wound care, perform ECGs, spirometry, and iron infusions.
• Chronic Disease Management: Develop and implement Care Plans, Health Assessments, and Comprehensive Medical Assessments.
• Health Promotion: Conduct preventative screenings and promote overall health awareness.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a practice nurse (preferable, but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• High levels of organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Immunisation certificate (desirable, or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in health assessments and chronic disease care plans
• Full Australian work rights

Additional Duties:

• Triaging patients
• Maintenance of practice equipment and stock
• Ear Syringing
• Iron infusions
• Assisting GPs in minor procedures
• Covid-19 vaccine administration
