Registered Nurse - General Practice

About the role

Working closely with our doctors and practice team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy general practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting doctors with clinical procedures and patient care
• Supporting immunisation programs and preventative healthcare
• Providing wound care, dressings and other nursing treatments
• Assisting with chronic disease management, care plans and health assessments
• Maintaining infection control, sterilisation and cold chain management standards
• Performing clinical procedures, including ECGs and spirometry
• Participating in quality improvement activities
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and supporting efficient practice operations

About you

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
• A current CPR certificate
• Previous General Practice nursing experience
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A caring, patient-centred and collaborative approach to healthcare
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving and time management skills
• An enthusiastic, flexible and positive attitude
