Registered Nurse-IMC

IMC is a 24-bed unit. IMC sees a higher acuity of patients compared to MedSurg floors. The goal of the IMC unit is to take higher acuity patients and bring them back to lower acuity care.

Nurse to Patient ratio is 1:4

Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Dept. The RN has responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The RN manages care for patients and their families through the application of the nursing process utilizing independent judgment, collaboration and communication with all team members including ancillary and support services. The RN provides and delegates patient care activities based upon patient needs and team skills/abilities and supervises the delivery of care by team. The RN evaluates patient response to treatment and nursing interventions, and as needed, revised the plan of care. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.

* Less than one year

Education: Required:

* Nursing Degree

Licensures & Certifications: Required:

* Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license

* National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale

* Basic Life Support

* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Credential Note:

NIHSS is required within 6 months, ACLS is required within 18 months

Pay Range: $37.15 to $58.33 Based On Experience
